In my first semester of college in August 2019, I joined Bloomsburg Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM), a student organization whose mission is to provide a welcoming community of faith, friends and fellowship. As a homesick college freshman longing for new friends, CCM quickly became my "home away from home." Little did I know this newfound community would be ripped away from me for an entire year, due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

In March 2020, I was forced to move back home and adjust to taking 100% online classes. It was definitely a rough adjustment, but I pushed through. Later that summer, I made the tough decision to continue living at home while taking online classes. I was crushed. I was looking forward to the next school year and was looking forward to becoming a member of CCM's Leadership Team. As a leader, responsibilities included planning club social events, service projects and leading small group Bible studies.

I was bummed, as I didn't think I would be able to assist with these responsibilities without being there in-person. But boy was I wrong. Shortly after the semester started, the Associate Director of CCM asked if I would be interested in helping run the club's Instagram. I was ecstatic and immediately agreed. As a Media and Journalism Major, content creation came easy and this opportunity allowed me to apply my writing and creativity skills I was learning in my classes. I continued to help run @bloomsburgccm throughout the rest of my college career, until graduation in May 2023. I could not be more grateful for this opportunity, as I gained great career experience while having fun doing it!
